Tryfon Typou Trio
The Tryfon Typou Trio was founded in Cologne in 2025 and combines a modern musical language with the jazz tradition. Its focus is on musical dialogue, collective improvisation and a balance between structure and freedom. The ensemble has already performed in North Rhine-Westphalia, recorded its debut album in the summer of 2026 and is expected to release it in spring 2027.
‘New Faces’ is the Jazz-Schmiede’s series showcasing new talent, presenting young artists twice a month – and perhaps the big names of tomorrow!
