Intakt Big Band of the VHS Düsseldorf

Intakt is the big band of the VHS Düsseldorf. It was founded back in 1976 at the Clara Schumann Music School and has been part of the Düsseldorf Adult Education Centre since 2012. Since 2022, the band has been led by the young Cologne-based jazz trumpeter, arranger and composer David Heiß. Its programme includes classic big band repertoire, modern big band arrangements, as well as well-known jazz-rock, rock and pop tracks. The band’s repertoire and sound appeal to jazz fans just as much as to audiences less familiar with jazz.
