Clemens Orth Trio

Based on the Hammond jazz tradition of the 50s and 60s, characterised by icons such as Jimmy Smith, Les Strand, Jack McDuff or Shirley Scott, the band - inspired by hard bop and soul jazz - has come together in an organ trio context that also allows for escapades into freer musical spaces without leaving three big question marks. Sometimes R&B classics or pop hits are also used as source material. The three musicians have known each other since their studies at the Cologne Music Academy and have since performed on numerous stages in Germany and abroad. They have played or are playing in the bands of Till Brönner, Roachford, Mezzoforte, Laith Al-Deen, Vega, Peter Herbolzheimer, Helge Schneider, Stefan Raab and many more.
