Jam Session – Nähmaschinen Quartett
Opener: The four musicians from Munich have perfected their unmistakable sound: a captivating duet of saxophone and guitar, embedded in the playful, driving groove of bass and drums.
Guitarist and composer Simon Harscheidt has always focussed on one thing: melodies that touch and stay in the ear. Why shouldn't contemporary, instrumental jazz also produce catchy tunes? The Sewing Machine Quartet combines harmonic catchiness with musical sophistication - sometimes lyrical and dreamy, sometimes energetic and surprising. The band impressively proves that modern jazz is not just for connoisseurs, but for everyone who wants to be carried away by music.
Sometimes playful, sometimes edgy, always precise - that's the Sewing Machine Quartet.
Every Tuesday: Jam Session at the Jazz-Schmiede. The evening always starts at 8pm with an opener concert set with a different formation each week. Afterwards, from around 9pm, there is an open jam session - anyone can come and join in to jam with other musicians and the opening band. Admission is free, so the sessions are also a great opportunity to get to know the Schmiede in an uncomplicated way.
