With its new programme, the multi-award-winning CSM Big Band presents compositions by its band members, who have spared no expense or effort in having their compositions professionally arranged. A varied programme, as varied as the musicians in the band.
in 1995, the Big Band of the Clara Schumann Music School played its very first concert in the newly-opened Jazz-Schmiede, and since then the guest appearances have become a firm tradition in the Schmiede programme! The CSM Big Band, under the direction of Romano Schubert, has already been honoured with the WDR JazzPreis, won first prize at the state orchestra competition three times in a row and won the German Orchestra Competition in 2021 under difficult conditions.

We are a jazz club, please note that only a limited number of seats are available. More tickets are sold - especially for highlight concerts - than seats can be offered. Tickets entitle to admission and are also valid for standing room. There is no entitlement to a seat. It is advised to arrive early to reserve the seat of your choice.
