Three Nations Under One Groove

"In September 2016 the three National Youth Jazz Orchestras of Germany, United Kingdom and the Netherlands met for the first time to celebrate the ideas of freedom and partnership of Europe’s youth and to lay the foundations of a pan-European youth jazz community. The project took the form of a joint workshop at the Heek Conservatoire in North Rhine-Westphalia (Landesmusikakademie NRW, 19.-22.9.2016) and a 4-date concert tour of Germany and Netherlands (23.9. Düsseldorf at the Jazz-Schmiede; 24.9. Dortmund at the domicil; 25.9. Amsterdam at the Bimhuis).
The project was an important cultural event with a highly symbolic partnership – hence the project’s title »Three Nations Under One Groove«."
