Ralph Moore–Peter Protschka Organ Quartet
Hard bop, soul and fearless improvisation: German trumpeter Peter Protschka joins forces with one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary jazz – the American tenor saxophonist Ralph Moore. Carried by the warm, rich sound of the Hammond organ, a musical dialogue emerges that is deeply rooted in the jazz tradition whilst remaining fresh and vibrant.
Ralph Moore, acclaimed for his powerful, elegant tenor sound, has played with jazz greats such as Horace Silver, Freddie Hubbard and Roy Haynes, as well as in the Tonight Show Band. Peter Protschka captivates audiences with his lyrical playing, dynamic compositions and electrifying stage presence.
The audience can look forward to a programme of original compositions and reimagined jazz classics, performed with exceptional chemistry, passion and spontaneity – a rare opportunity to experience two masters of improvisation together on stage.
