The band led by trumpeter Vincent Pinn is a modern jazz quartet drawing on influences from classical music, contemporary music and avant-garde jazz.
The bandleader’s compositions are set against a backdrop of free improvisation, creating a unique and multifaceted energy. Lyrical, romantic sounds are contrasted with percussive rhythms, resulting in a sound that is both recognisable and consistently exciting.
‘New Faces’ is the Jazz-Schmiede’s series showcasing emerging talent, presenting young artists twice a month – and perhaps the big names of tomorrow!
