Ivan Paduart Trio featuring Fay Claassen and Paul Heller

A reunion of a very special kind: Belgian pianist Ivan Paduart returns to the stage at the Schmiede with his trio after 24 years, alongside his musical soulmate, the singer Fay Claassen, and is joined by one of Europe’s leading saxophonists: Paul Heller.
Paduart, who has worked with artists such as Richard Galliano, Toots Thielemans, Manu Katché, Philip Catherine and Richard Bona over the course of four decades, is one of the most experienced and versatile pianists on the European jazz scene. With 36 albums and appearances at over a hundred international festivals, he has long since cemented his place in the front row. Fay Claassen, with whom he recorded, amongst other things, the double live album *Crush* with the Metropole Orchestra, brings her unmistakable voice and warmth to the performance.
