rand is a project by Berlin pianist Jan Gerdes and Berlin electronic artist and techno producer Frank Bogdanowitz aka Dr.Nojoke at the interface of contemporary and electronic music with references to minimal music as well as jazz, ambient, drone, glitch and clicks & cuts. Both artists share a fascination for the border areas of contemporary piano music and experimental club electronics and the interweaving of individualised, lyrical piano sound with the overwhelming, orchestral and bizarre soundscapes of electronic music. her debut album "Peripherie" was released in 2022 to much critical and public acclaim.
