Drummer Tobias Frohnhöfer presents his new album "Dragon Boat", which will be released on Laika Records in February 2026. The trio's music combines lyrical melodies with powerful swing and open, energetic improvisation.
Grammy award-winning New York pianist Dave Kikoski (Roy Haynes, Mingus Big Band, among others) and Parisian bassist Matis Regnault are three musicians from different generations of the international jazz scene. Their interplay is characterised by great joy in playing, intensive communication and the desire to take risks. The varied programme leaves plenty of room for interplay and spontaneous developments - and creates a dense tension that is immediately transferred to the audience.
