For over 20 years now, Mayo Velvo has been bringing festive cheer not only to the Jazz-Schmiede, but also to the hearts of his audiences with his charmingly quirky Christmas programme. A true pre-Christmas classic, as indispensable as "Dinner for One" on New Year's Eve.

Like a Christmas market, the audience can expect a wonderfully colourful mixture of glittering Christmas kitsch, thoughtful and whimsical songs and finely dosed sarcasm.

Poems and stories, including the legendary "Rita Reindeer", which makes every tinsel heart beat faster, will be heard alongside specially interpreted songs. Explosive questions such as "Why does my birthday always come on Christmas?" or "What would happen if Father Christmas were a woman?" are explored with humour and subtlety.

With the motto: "Whatever Santa wants, Santa gets" and "Snowflakes keep falling on your heads", the audience is given the opportunity to pre-glaze for the festive fun.
