Reiner Witzel Quartet - Global Conversations
Having worked with international greats such as Richie Beirach, Dave Kikoski and Alex Sipiagin in recent years, toured Nepal and Central America and travelled with bands as diverse as "Third World", "Jazzkantine" and the "Supremes", Düsseldorf globetrotter Reiner Witzel is now a guest at the Schmiede with his new German quartet.
He will be joined by pianist Jesse Milliner, who has been a regular member of the bands of Chaka Khan and Lee Ritenour, Jan Leipnitz, one of the most sought-after drummers on the Berlin scene, and Witzel's long-time companion and former member of his trio "Drei im roten Kreis" Markus Schieferdecker, also known as the bassist for Julian and Roman Wasserfuhr, among others.
