Jam Session – Barbara Barth Quartett

From Barbara Barth's very first notes, it is clear that a woman with an exciting view of the world is standing at the microphone. Without exaggerating, she sings sensitively and emotionally, or improvises energetically and expressively, but always authentically. She lets people look at her tickets, communicates with the audience as well as with her fellow musicians and invites them to get to know her better with each of her compositions and interpretations. Technically mature and virtuosic, Barbara Barth surprises above all with her diversity: whether interpreting lyrics or juggling wordless vocals, the singer uses her multi-faceted voice effortlessly, sounding modern and almost instrumental.

Every Tuesday: Jam Session at the Jazz-Schmiede. The evening always starts at 8pm with an opening concert set with a different formation each week. Afterwards, from around 9pm, there is an open jam session - anyone can come and join in to jam with other musicians and the opening band. Admission is free, so the sessions are also a great opportunity to get to know the Schmiede in an uncomplicated way.
